Hello,
To make mwm a selectable option in gdm and kdm (though for the moment kdm
provides its own file), lesstif1-1 should
ship /usr/share/xsessions/mwm.desktop. These .desktop files take 2 minutes
to create. Examples of the contents of such files can be found in the
blackbox, afterstep, and wmaker packages.

NMU upload discussed in bug 522157 fixed a lot of bugs. Due to missed
trick during upload they were not closed properly. This mail closes them
manually, please reopen the bug if the problem is not fixed properly.
