Package: awesome
Version: 3.3~rc3-1
Severity: normal
Before upgrading, I could run a command such as:
MOZILLA_DISABLE_PLUGINS=1 iceweasel
on the "Run:" command line that pops up when hitting mod4-F1 (which
surprisingly changed to mod4-r), which suggests commands ran through
"sh -c", which they apparently don't anymore. I think this is an
unfortunate regression.

It's not a regression, this was necessary in order to get
error report of starting correctly.
Alternatively, you can get the old behaviour back by using
awful.util.spawn_with_shell rather than awful.util.spawn to start your
applications.
