On Feb 12, 2000, Debian Jr., which was Debian's first Custom Debian
Distribution (CDD), now renamed Debian Pure Blend (Blend) was announced. Here
is the reference:

At that time the Debian Jr. project was described as a 'subproject' of Debian.
The name CDD was not applied until after a Debcamp meeting in Oslo. I don't
have an exact date for that meeting, but discussion on debian-devel seems to

The timeline indicates that DebCamp3 in July 2003 occurred in Oslo, Norway, so
I guess that would be the one.
