Package: exim4-base
Version: 4.69-9
Severity: normal
README.Debian claims the Diffie-Hellman parameters in the file gnutls-params
will be refreshed by a daily cron job; however, they are not:
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 424 Jul 19 2008 /var/spool/exim4/gnutls-params
In fact, the file has identical contents on every one of my Debian exim4
installations.
# md5sum /var/spool/exim4/gnutls-params
f1a358980648bcb8606297a1b45330da /var/spool/exim4/gnutls-params
What's more, README.Debian claims "If the gnutls-params file gets older than
two weeks, the daily cron job starts sending out warning messages." I have
never received any such warning.
I'm not sure if the file is not getting regenerated because of its ownership
or for some other reason. Deleting the file causes exim to create a new one
owned by Debian-exim.

[...]
It is not regenerated because it turned out to be unnecessary. The
cron was changed but the documentation did not keep up with the change
(except for /usr/share/doc/exim4-base/NEWS.Debian.gz). This has been
fixed in 4.69-10. Closing.
