Package: fvwm
Version: 1:2.5.18-2
Severity: wishlist

Hello Manoj,

I am coding some stuff for embedded systems (exactly my Motorcaravan)
and have some private Fvwm-Modules. The problem ist, that it is the
hell to put it into the original source and build the whole fvwm from
scratch each time. (It takes so long...)

I like to see a "fvwm-dev" package which is suitable to build private
Fvwm-Modules which can have there own Debian-Package but with versioned
depends.

Can you provide such package please?

Sideeffect of this is, that someone can code new stuff outside and if
the publich is interested, it caould be included into fvwm later...

Note: The fribidi-stuff does not work...
(Sarge with Backports and plain Etch)

Thanks, Greetings and nice Day

Hi,

After looking over this, and thinking about it, I have come to
the conclusion that the effort required (creating a new package, going
through NEW, adding yet another package to the archive) is not worth
the marginal benefit to the small number of users. Any such work should
be done using the version control system.
