When maximizing a window, its title bar gets hidden by GNOME's title bar.
If I hide the the panel, I can see the title bar, so the issue seems to be that
metacity isn't recognizing where the "desktop" ends.
This (mis)behaivor started after doing a regular update to version 2.26.0-2.
