Package: acpi
Version: 1.1-2
Severity: important
After power-on my laptop, if I change wireless switch to ON, only bluetooth
power-on after I press Fn+F5.
/var/log/messages show me this:
usb 1-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 5
usb 1-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
usb 1-1: New USB device found, idVendor=0a5c, idProduct=2110
usb 1-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0
usb 1-1: Product: BCM2045B
usb 1-1: Manufacturer: Broadcom Corp
I found a script in /etc/acpi/events, but:
# /etc/acpi/events/ibm-wireless
bash: /etc/acpi/events/ibm-wireless: Permission denied
# ls -la /etc/acpi/events/ibm-wireless
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 223 Jun 22 18:12 /etc/acpi/events/ibm-wireless
# chmod +x /etc/acpi/events/ibm-wireless
# /etc/acpi/events/ibm-wireless
/etc/acpi/events/ibm-wireless: line 5: HKEY: command not found
# /etc/acpi/wireless.sh
Ignoring unknown interface wlan0=wlan0.
Failed to connect to wpa_supplicant - wpa_ctrl_open: No such file or directory
So... I really don't know how can I turn-on my wireless card after my laptop is
turned-on (Fn+F5 change bluetooth only).
If I do a right click over knetworkmanager and choose "Options --> Active
wireless", nothing is changed.
$ lspci | grep -i wireless
03:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG [Golan]
Network Connection (rev 02)
# dpkg -l | grep supplicant
ii wpasupplicant 0.6.4-2 Client
support for WPA and WPA2 (IEEE 802.11i)
I'm using Debian Lenny with KDE.
