Package: nbd-client
Version: 1:2.9.13-1
Severity: normal

When nbd is used for root filesystem nbd-client is started from initrd
so it is necessary to disable normal starting of nbd-client to avoid
duplication;
otherwise bootup hangs.

This was done previously by setting ENABLE=0 in /etc/default/nbd-client.
This flag seems to have been removed from current release.

Er, no; such a configuration has never been supported for nbd-client. If
you want the initscript to do nothing, make sure that /etc/nbd-client
does not contain any configurations.

The file /etc/nbd-client is a configuration for the initscript only,
anyway.

Sorry that I have to close this bugreport too, but again this looks like
a misunderstanding on your side.

(I guess this means suggestions for improvement of the documentation are
in order...)
