Thanks for your report, and sorry for my late reply. I think this was
actually fixed a little while back somehow (perhaps something to do with
#199422, or perhaps a change in how man-db invokes groff), but in any
case the improved Unicode input support in groff 1.20.1 should have
fixed this for good.
