Package: mail-notification-evolution
Version: 5.4.dfsg.1-1+b1

I have evidence that mail-notification-evolution is causing Evolution for Exchange to crash.

This has been happening to me for quite some time now, but I finally got around to testing it, now that evolution and evolution-exchange have upgraded to 2.24.x.

I get the following error when I run 'evolution' inside of gdb:

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
[Switching to Thread 0xb51b19a0 (LWP 11826)]
camel_message_info_uint32 (mi=0xa0a6a20, id=5) at camel-folder-summary.c:4547

        in camel-folder-summary.c

Searching the web, I eventually came across this issue reported to the Ubuntu distribution: <a href="https://bugs.launchpad.net/mail-notification/+bug/251031"; title=" Bug #251031 in MailNotification: evolution 2.23.5 crashes on startup ">https://bugs.launchpad.net/mail-notification/+bug/251031</a>

I grabbed the patch shipped with their version of mail-notification:

http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/m/mail-notification/mail-notification_5.4.dfsg.1-1ubuntu1.diff.gz

and applied the diff to the three files alluded to in the bug-report.

This patch fixes my problem.

Can this patch be brought over to Debian?
