And it continued to upgrade without a glitch. The update should have failed.
Moreover, memory corruption isn't nice, which is another bug.

Reporter of 495949 doestn't have his original problem either.
So I think it's safe now to close this.
If it happens again please reopen.
We use set -e in the scripts so I think it should just abort if
something like that happens.
But we allow 3 grub-probe calls to fail in grub-mkconfig.
Probable one of them was affected.
