Package: xserver-xorg-input-wacom
Version: 0.7.9.3-2
Severity: normal
I use a number of binds on these buttons to make them bindable in my
window manager, for example:
xsetwacom set pad Button1 "core key ctrl alt PageDown"
However, when using this version of the driver (I previously had
homebuilt linuxwacom drivers which were fine, but not for some reason
don't install...), pressing the pad buttons which have keys assigned
kills the whole X server.
The following may be relevant:
[20:25:24] bucko(tank) ~$ dpkg -l wacom-tools
ii wacom-tools 0.8.0.2-2 utilities for Wacom tablet devices
The bug also manifests on wacom-tools 0.7.9.3-2, however.
The final message in the log is:
Fatal server error:
Impossible keyboard event

We know that, nothing has changed in lenny that would fix it, that's what
"stable" means. The only surprising information would be that it still
exists in Sid/Squeeze, and since I believe it doesn't, and have had no
input to the contrary still, I'm marking it fixed there now.

Because it's a bug in X not the wacom driver? And it's Debian _stable_?

Nothing to gain either. Unless you can convince the release managers to
import an entirely new xorg release into a stable point release. That
one is the best there was for what they froze lenny with. If you need
this to work, you're going to need xorg from oldstable or testing.
Sorry, nothing more I can do for lenny on this.
