Package: abcde
Version: 0.8.8-1
Severity: wishlist
I have plenty of hard drive space. I have a very fast CD-ROM drive. I
don't have a very fast CPU, and so it takes quite a bit longer to encode
than it does to rip. Would it be possible to make abcde do multiple CDs
in a single session, so that it would, for example, rip CD #5 while it was
still encoding CD #1? I hate running multiple abcde processes, since then
I have a million billion encoder processes eating up all my CPU time and
making even vi run poorly.
Granted, I could just wait for encode to finish before ripping again, but
I like to queue up a lot of processing before going to bed. Gives me a
reason to get up in the morning. :)
