Package: automake
Version: 1:1.10.1-3
Severity: important

I am unable to install automake and the documentation.

  nsla...@bytesexual: $ sudo apt-get install automake1.10-doc automake
  Reading package lists... Done
  Building dependency tree
  Reading state information... Done
automake is already the newest version.
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies.
automake: Conflicts: automake1.10-doc but 1.10-1 is to be installed
  E: Broken packages

If I run aptitude it downgrades automake to stable to fix this.

automake suggests no packages.

This bug is invalid. Perhaps automake1.10-doc has existed
in some earlier version, but automake has been providing the
documentation for some time now (at least in 1:1.10.1-2).
Closing.
