Package: libnasl-dev
Version: 2.2.7-1
When testing libnasl-dev with piuparts, I get the following error:
Unpacking replacement libnasl-dev ...
dpkg: error
processing /var/cache/apt/archives/libnasl-dev_2.2.7-1_i386.deb
(--unpack):
trying to overwrite `/usr/share/doc/libnasl-dev', which is also in
package libnasl2
Preparing to replace libnasl2 2.2.5-2+b1
(using .../libnasl2_2.2.7-1_i386.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement libnasl2 ...
Preparing to replace libstdc++5 1:3.3.6-10 (using .../libstdc++5_1%
3a3.3.6-12_i386.deb) ...
This happens when testing upgrades from sarge to etch to sid, during the
upgrade from etch to sid. For whatever reason, dpkg unpacks the -dev
package before the shlib package; perhaps there is something that can be
done to the dependencies to prevent this from happening?

You filled the bug http://bugs.debian.org/356856 in Debian BTS
against the package libnasl. I'm closing it at *unstable*, but it will
remain open for older distributions.
For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/534506. That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed and suggestions of possible replacements.
Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.
Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
