Please consider packaging these Emacs manuals for emacs23 [1]
- GNU Emacs manual
- An Introduction to Programming in Emacs Lisp
- Emacs Lisp Reference Manual
I am sure that the Emacs Manual has been included in emacs22 from bug #429526
but I am not sure whether the latter two have ever been packaged either in the
emacs package or as separate packages.apt-cache search elisp shows me nothing
related. Only Emacs FAQ is available.
So now C-h r just tells me that "Info file emacs does not exist" and
"Info file eintr does not exist" "Info file elisp does not exist" for
the latter two.
I have to download them one by one and manually install-info them.
I wish All of them be packaged so users can access the info manuals without any
tedious work
