to the point, i'd like to be able to do things like add customized
tags (the cddb id, for example), and perhaps extract and do things with
them as well. what would be great would be if there were functions
similar to munge_name that could be called before and after each
operation -- i think that would be the cleanest and most flexible way
to do things. like:
encode_pre_hook(){
# do your stuff here, $1 is the abcde directory maybe?
}
encode_post_hook(){
# do more stuff here, maybe $1 is the location of the moved file?
}
cddb_pre_hook(){
# same idea...
}
etc. etc. for each action. i think you see what i'm getting at. they
could do nothing by default, but would allow for all kinds of
customization (like creating a mysql database, gpg signing/encrypting,
setting permissions, notifying via email, etc.)
