I don't know if this is a really bug or a wishlist
When I use reportbug it start debsums to check the package integrity.
But I use reportbug as a normal user and dubsums try to access
file/directory that my normal user don't have read/execute permission.
So this cause the display of a list of errors
I think that reportbug must not be run as root, but it can run debusums
as root (prompting user for root password, if he know it) if there is
some permission error.
For example I have some of these errors with
