Package: nvidia-kernel-source

Severity: important
Hi,
this is a similiar issue to the one discussed in #500285, but I have
done rm -rf /usr/src/modules/nvidia-kernel and manually unpacked the
/usr/src/nvidia-kernel.tar.bz2 before trying
fakeroot make-kpkg --append-to-version=-weave \
--revision=2.6.27.4.20081031.0 --added-modules=nvidia-kernel modules_image
in an unpacked vanilla kernel tree where a configure and build run
successfully completed immediately before.
The build of nvidia-kernel failed with:
In file included from /usr/src/modules/nvidia-kernel/nv.c:14:

Module /usr/src/modules/nvidia-kernel failed.
Perhaps /usr/src/modules/nvidia-kernel does not understand --rootcmd?
If you see messages that indicate that it is not
in fact being built as root, please file a bug
against /usr/src/modules/nvidia-kernel.

Greetings
