I don't know how to configure the default program to launch when my music
player is detected.
I remember (but I'm not 100% sure) that there was a tab for this in the
gnome-volume-properties window in previous versions of gnome-volume-manager.

Currently, when I plug my audio player it automatically launches vlc and
starts playing music. It is quite annoying when everybody's sleeping in
the house...
