Package: microcode.ctl
Version: 1.17-9
Severity: minor

*** Please type your report below this line ***
While current stable version of this package depends on po-debconf, it looks like nothing provided by po-debconf is actually used in this
package.

Out of interest I've rebuilded this package without po-debconf dependency and it looks like full package functionality is preserved. The package's documetation also lacks any hints of this issue.

Considering size of po-debconf and its dependants (over 6Mb) it would be useful to remove such dependency or at least move it to Recommends.
