--- Begin Message ---Package: vm Version: 6.47-1 I use the following setting for mail boxes, with fetchmail delivering into whatever.spool files: (setq vm-primary-inbox "~/Mail/INBOX" vm-spool-file-suffixes '(".spool") vm-crash-box-suffix ".crash" vm-folder-directory "~/Mail/") When using vm-visit-folder, I'm asked for a folder name, with completion. When a spool files exists, and the corresponding folder is empty (ie. vm erased it), then TAB completion expands to the spool file. My opinion is that when building the completion list, vm should strip vm-spool-file-suffixes from filenames. This should probably be controled by a user option, but the default behaviour should probably to have spool files ignored, or mail can be lost if any program tries to deliver into spool boxes. Also, maybe vm should use liblockfile on user's folder too ? -- Yann Dirson <[email protected]> | Stop making M$-Bill richer & richer, alt-email: <[email protected]> | support Debian GNU/Linux: debian-email: <[email protected]> | more powerful, more stable ! http://www.a2points.com/homepage/3475232 | Check <http://www.debian.org/>

--- Begin Message ---Hi, vm should not implement its own file completion mechanisms, it should really just use what emacs uses itself, and nothing has changed in the last 11 years. I am closing this report. manoj -- I'm so miserable without you, it's almost like you're here.
