Package: navit
Version: 0.1.1.0+dfsg.1-1
Severity: minor
Steps to reproduce:
1) aptitude install navit
2) mkdir ~/.navit
3) cp /etc/navit/navit.xml ~/.navit
4) Use http://maps.navit-project.org/download/ to download latest map
data for your current location.
5) configure ~/.navit/navit.xml to use this data. I added
<mapset enabled="yes">
<map type="binfile" enabled="yes"
data="/home/lindi/maps/osm_bbox_24.8,60.1,25.1,60.3.bin"/>
</mapset>
after the line that says "-- Mapset template for openstreetmaps --"
6) make sure gpsd knows current position and it is inside the map bounds
7) start navit
Expected results:
7) navit shows map of the current location.
Actual results:
7) navit shows a window with background color, a blue dot and a blue
circle around the dot. Navit does not show any map information.
More info:
1) "lsof | grep navit | grep bin" shows that navit has opened the map file just
fine
2) sending "P" command to gpsd correctly retrieves current location
and it falls inside the bounding box of the map
