Hi,
First I would like to thanks you for the directfb backend in cairo/gtk
etc...
But I'm a little surprised to see that the x11 backend of libcairo
depends on
directfb.
Something is wrong in the debian/rules file. --enable-direct shouldn't
be
defined by default.

No, that's intentional. The libcairo2 package contains the X11, XCB and
DirectFB backends all in one library.
