Package: gcrontab
Version: 0.6.6-8
Severity: wishlist

I think Gcrontab should run <crontab -l> to get a copy of the crontab,
then allow the user to edit it, and then save it and run <crontab -e
$tmpfile> when the user is done. This would be an effective way to make
Gcrontab a wrapper around the <crontab> program.

If Gcrontab would work on <argv[1]> instead of
</var/spool/cron/crontabs/$user> everything else above could be
accomplished with a shell script, which I'd be willing to contribute.

You filled the bug http://bugs.debian.org/207935 in Debian BTS
against the package gcrontab. I'm closing it at *unstable*, but it will
remain open for older distributions.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/549602. That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
