Package: debian-el
Version: 28.3-1
Severity: normal
Hi Peter,
My disk crashed yesterday and I reinstalled and configured lenny today.
Things were going pretty smoothly until I hit this:
Setting up debian-el (28.3-1) ...
debian-el files already compiled in /usr/share/emacs21/site-lisp/debian-el.
debian-el files already compiled in /usr/share/emacs22/site-lisp/debian-el.
install/debian-el: Handling xemacs21, logged in /tmp/elc_aFKiOT.log
emacs-package-install: /usr/lib/emacsen-common/packages/install/debian-el
xemacs21 emacs21 emacs22 xemacs21 failed at
/usr/lib/emacsen-common/emacs-package-install line 30, <TSORT> line 1.
dpkg: error processing debian-el (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 255
Errors were encountered while processing:
debian-el
Any thoughts? Hmmm, emacs21 and emacs22 seem OK ("already compiled"), but
xemacs21 is listed twice on that command line.
Once I removed xemacs21, debian-el configured correctly.
When I reinstalled xemacs21, debian-el configured correctly.
Looks like it choked when I installed every Emacsen in the park :-).

Hi Bill,
Just cleaning up some old bugs. This was submitted 2 years ago. I
assume this is no longer a problem so I am closing it.
Sorry we never tracked it down...
