Severity: important
When configured to gather statistics from SMC 6724L2 and Linksys EG24M
switches with snmp v2, no traffic is noticed and the log file gets error
messages:
WARNING: Expected a number but got ''
(Todays log file contains 182000 copies of that message in about 5 hours.)
After reconfiguring to use snmp v1, the message is no longer being logged.
A huge traffic spike was put in the logs (probably several months worth
of traffic detected at once) so I can't see if the graphs are reasonable
yet.
This is working with some older Bay Network switches that don't support
snmp v2 so I initally configured them with v1.
