Package: sane-utils
Version: 1.0.20-10

I can still find the scanner on the server (the box it is connected to, newton), but not from the network anymore. When I try to run "saned -d" and connect with telnet from a client, then I get :
[saned] run_standalone: invalid fd in set, attempting to re-bind
[saned] bailing out, waiting for children...
[saned] bail_out: all children exited

On a client, SANE_DEBUG_NET=128 scanimage -L says :
[net] connect_dev: trying to connect to newton
[net] connect_dev: [0] connection succeeded (IPv4)
[net] connect_dev: sanei_w_init
[net] connect_dev: net_init (user=jpuydt, local version=1.0.3)
[net] connect_dev: argument marshalling error (Connection reset by peer)
[net] connect_dev: closing connection to newton

More details :
- on the server, I use saned as standalone and the saned.conf allows the local network ; - on the client, net.conf points to the server (pinging it under the name written there works), and dll.conf has 'net' enabled ; - the same configuration was working great a while ago (can't say exactly when unfortunately :-/ )

Hope that helps,

Snark on #gnome-hackers
