Package: PHP Version 5.2.0-8+etch7
The current compile includes the gd options for png, but these
functions are dependant on exif support, which on this binary package
only extends to TIFF and JPEG. This requires the compile option --with-
png-dir=DIR as described in the image section of the php manual
"To enable support for png add --with-png-dir=DIR. Note, libpng
requires the zlib libraries, therefore add --with-zlib-dir[=DIR]to
your configure line."
It would appear the correct options have not been compiled in.
This in turn breaks the php function imagecreatefromstring() when
trying to parse a png string
Thankyou for giving this your attention
