Package: alsa-base
Version: 1.0.17.dfsg-4
Severity: important

Following an upgrade to lenny, my 'terratec phase 26 usb' sound card is no
longer fully supported by debian.
This card features a switch to change the bit level and frequency of the card.
On etch it works fine with all
settings, on lenny only with the lowest quality setting of 16/48.

Setting the card, eg. to 24/48 leads to the following segmentation fault:

$ aplay -l

The card will work on 16/48, but it is little use having a high quality sound
card, if only the lowest quality
is supported. The card is reported to work fine with alsa's upstream code.

Cheers,
Johannes

  Numeric stability is probably not all that
  important when you're guessing;-)
