Sorry I didn't see this when you reported it initially. Anyway, I
don't see what version of aptitude you had installed, but the usual
cause of this sort of problem is that you somehow got an aptitude
that's newer than everything else in your archive. aptitude is always
compiled against the latest libraries in unstable when I upload it.
It's certainly not a problem any more, so I'm closing this bug.
