Package: bacula-director-mysql
Version: 3.0.2-3+b1
Severity: normal
We upgraded from an older Version 2.xx to 3.0.2-3+b1 in one Run
Database was from 8 to 11.
We could get the scripts from the official website git repository but
maybe someone else runs into the same problem.
Needed:
update_mysql_tables_8_to_9
update_mysql_tables_9_to_10
before the included update else there were missing volumes.
Maybe a notice or a check in the update Script would be helpfull to
others (can't update version is 8. need 10 .. or something)
Regards
Christian Unger

Debian does not support migrations from more than one stable release
old.
Database version 8 would have been for Bacula 1.36.x, which wasn't
even in etch (oldstable).
The version in lenny supported a migration from 1.38.x (in etch) to
2.4.x (in lenny).
The version that winds up in squeeze will support a migration from
2.4.x (lenny) to whatever is in squeeze, and nothing more.
This requirement is stated in the release notes for each Debian
release.
