Package: gtranslator
Version: 1.1.6-1
Severity: important

If gtranslator autosave feature is turned on, edited file is saved
by default to filename.po.autosave. The file is marked as saved and
the save button is grayed out.

This is bad, since the latest changes are saved only to the autosave
file, and if user does not check time stamps on files user does not
realise the latest edits are only in the autosave file, and part of
data is lost when work continues on the original file.

Autosave must not mark the file as saved, allowing user to save his
work to the file being edited in the usual way.

This same bug is also present in the newer version of gtranslator in
Ubuntu 6.06.

Hi,

The GTranslator bug you reported is very old and shouldn't be an
issue in the current version series, which is mostly rewritten.

Upstream author has checked the list of open bugs, and he thinks all
should be fixed or obsolete by now.

If you believe your bug still applies, please reopen, or better yet,
report in the GNOME Bugzilla.

Thanks,
Jordi
