Package: ntpdate
Severity: normal

It seems that ntpdate doesn't log the initial time step that it does
on boot (though I cannot fathom why):

reboot system boot 2.6.11.7Y Sun Jul 24 19:45
(00:03)

Only after I run /etc/init.d/ntpdate start do I see, in daemon.log:

Jul 24 19:46:21 andromeda ntpdate[3419]: step time server
203.109.252.7 offset 0.018857 sec
