Package: libsvn0
Version: 1.0.9-2
Severity: wishlist
The current package contains perl and python bindings in form of
libraries. Some users (e.g. me, myself and I ;-) don't use any of those
languages, so I would appreciate it if you could split out the python
dependency (libsvn_swig_py-1.so.0, libsvn_swig_py-1.so.0.0.0) into a
Package of its own.
I consider it package bloating that I have to install python despite I
won't use it just for fulfilling package dependencies.
A seperate package (dependending upon the libsvn0 and python package)
would solve this for me.
The same holds for perl.
TIA,
Joerg

Hi,
we now have python2.3-subversion and libsvn-core-perl split from
libsvn0, so libsvn0 no longer depends on python or perl. Hence, I
believe this bug is fixed and, as the new subversion maintainer, hereby
close it.
Thanks!
