Package: dhcp-client-udeb
Version: 2.0pl5-16.1
Severity: normal
Hi,
Can this package stop providing /etc/dhclient-script? netcfg
is providing its own now, which is tuned for d-i and uses iproute, so
you probably don't want to go and merge the changes in. Currently
/etc/dhclient-script in netcfg overwrites the dhcp-client-udeb one.
BTW: Unless someone shrinks dhcp3-client-udeb to a usable size, (currently,
dhclient2 is 105,240 bytes, and dhclient3 is 413,976 bytes. Over three
times the size!) we won't migrate to it and hence this should get fixed.
Thanks
Josh

You filed the bug http://bugs.debian.org/249373 in Debian BTS
against the package dhcp-client-udeb. I'm closing it at *unstable*, but it will
remain open for older distributions.
For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/446386. That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed and suggestions of possible replacements.
Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.
Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
