Package: dhcp
Version: 3.0.1betaRC4-1
Severity: normal
I wanted a 3.0 dhcp server, so I did:
http://packages.debian.org/dhcp
That page lists only the experimental 3.0 server, since the name has
changed to be dhcp3-server. I went to work compiling the source package
from experimental on my woody server. I eventually noticed that the
version in experimental is very old and that there are version 3 servers
availabel under a different name. I wonder why the experimental package
is still there since the versions in stable, unstable and testing of
dhcp3-server, for example, appear to be newer, maintained, etc.
I suggest the experimental package be removed from the archive.
Thank for all the good work,
David

You filed the bug http://bugs.debian.org/233182 in Debian BTS
against the package dhcp. I'm closing it at *unstable*, but it will
remain open for older distributions.
For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/446386. That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed and suggestions of possible replacements.
