Package: dhcp
Version: 2.0-3.1

Starting dhcp with an interface argument of eth0:0 (and, I presume, any other
aliased interface) will cause it to fail, as dhcp (incorrectly) decides the
interface's ip address is 0.0.0.0 instead of its actual address.

I've looked at the upstream source for 3.0, and I don't think the situation is
going to be any better in the next release.

Colin.

You filed the bug http://bugs.debian.org/65817 in Debian BTS
against the package dhcp. I'm closing it at *unstable*, but it will
remain open for older distributions.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/446386. That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
