Package: nagios-pgsql
Version: 2:1.3-cvs.20050402-12
Severity: important

Recently my main nagios process started crashing. After switching it to
foreground so I can see what's going on, I found this message after the
latest crash:

*** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (!prev): 0x080a4820 ***
Aborted

The crashes seem to be almost random. Sometimes it will run for a week,
sometimes only 30 minutes.

This seemed to start happening after I installed some packages from
Debian's "testing" branch. Thereafter I also installed a "testing"
version of nagios in case it was due to a nagios<->glibc
incompatibility. However, the mysterious crashes continue.

You filed the bug http://bugs.debian.org/361261 in Debian BTS
against the package nagios-pgsql. I'm closing it at *unstable*, but it will
remain open for older distributions.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/464774. That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
