The package needlessly build-depends on atlas, which is mostly just a very
optimized blas library. I changed the build-dep from atlas to libblas-dev
and the package compiled fine, as well as added seemingly good depends:
Depends: lesstif2 (>= 1:0.94.4), libblas3gf | libblas.so.3gf |
libatlas3gf-base, libc6 (>= 2.7), libgsl0ldbl (>= 1.9), libice6 (>= 1:1.0.0),
libsm6, libx11-6, libxext6, libxmu6, libxt6
Meaning that either atlas or blas can be used to satisfy the dep.
Some archs, such armel, have no atlas availaible, so providing a blas
alternative is helpful.
