Package: shared-mime-info
Version: 0.30-2
Severity: normal

When opening a Speex file within an Ogg container with the extension .spx I
get this message:

-----
The filename "test.spx" indicates that this file is of type "Speex audio". The
contents of the file indicate that the file is of
type "Ogg Speex audio". If you open this file, the file might present a
security risk to your system.

Do not open the file unless you created the file yourself, or received the file
from a trusted source. To open the file, rename
the file to the correct extension for "Ogg Speex audio", then open the file
normally. Alternatively, use the Open With menu to
choose a specific application for the file.
-----

Changing the extension to .ogg or .oga fixes this, however that is not
recommended by the Xiph Wiki
(http://wiki.xiph.org/index.php/MIME_Types_and_File_Extensions). There you can
read the following:

* .ogg applies now for Vorbis I files only

* Vorbis and Speex may use .oga, but it is not the prefered method of
distributing these files because of backwards-compatibility
issues.

* .spx has traditionally been used for Speex files within Ogg and should be
considered for backwards-compatibility

And the speexenc manual uses .spx as extension in the output example. So the
prefered extension for Speex within an
ogg container is .spx and it should be recognized.

Bug was fixed in shared-mime-info version 0.60. Here is the fix that can
be found in /usr/share/mime/packages/freedesktop.org.xml

<glob pattern="*.spx"/> under <mime-type type="audio/ogg">

Adding this element to freedesktop.org.xml, running update-mime-database
and restarting Nautilus should solve the problem in Lenny.
