Severity: minor
*** Please type your report below this line ***
Hi,
I've removed "xprt" from my system, however the
/etc/init.d/xprint is still there because it belongs to "xprt-common"
package (which is kind of weird, because there is no Xprt binary, and an
error message appears during upgrade).
Starting Xprint servers: Xprt.
/etc/init.d/xprint: ## ERROR: Can't find "/usr/X11R6/bin/Xprt".
The bottom line is that if I install the Xprint support I should
also install the server, which is wrong IMHO. Please move everything
related to Xprt server to the xprt package.
Thanks,

xprint and xprint-common are currently more tightly coupled, so that if
you remove xprint, xprint-common is removed as well.
The reason /etc/init.d/xprint is in xprint-common is because this
package is treated as the arch-independent part of Xprint, while xprint
contains only the binaries (and man pages). Moreover, /etc/init.d/xprint
could be edited to use a different Xprt server than the one provided by
the xprint package.
Closing the bug, since it has been address by the package Dependencies.
