Hi,
I could have filed this bug against cupsys but because xprint has the
problem, I think it belongs here. One can argue also that the bug is
easily solved manually, but that's perhaps not true for all users, hence
'important' (I couldn't find any hint in the changelogs on who changed
it's rc number).
This said, the only problem is that, per default, xprint starts (20)
before cupsys (80) so that CUPS printers don't show up in
/usr/bin/xplsprinters' output, and e.g. can't be used in Mozilla.
Setting xprint to S81xprint in /etc/rc?.d solves the problem (K links
seem unimportant).
Cheers, Eric

Normal script order is S20cupsys, coming before S20xprint, so I'm
closing this bug.
That CUPS may not have finished initialising or may have other printers
added later is a separate problem, addressed in other bug reports (e.g.
bug #271523).
