Package: base-files
Version: 5.7
Severity: normal

pbuilder on sid fails as follows and it looks like base-files is the one
causing this.

$ sudo pbuilder create
W: /home/osamu/.pbuilderrc does not exist
I: Distribution is sid.
I: Building the build environment
I: running debootstrap
/usr/sbin/debootstrap

E: debootstrap failed
W: Aborting with an error
I: cleaning the build env
I: removing directory /var/cache/pbuilder/build//20759 and its subdirectories

As I chacked:
# [2010-06-01] Accepted 5.7 in unstable (low) (Santiago Vila)
# [2010-05-31] base-files 5.6 MIGRATED to testing (Britney)

# [2010-01-13] pbuilder 0.196 MIGRATED to testing (Britney)
# [2010-01-02] Accepted 0.196 in unstable (low) (Loïc Minier)

Thus I suspect recent changes in base-files is causing this failure.

I do not know if this is debootstrap specific problem since I see no
installation problem reported. (That is I guess cdebootstrap)

If my assignent is wrong, please point me to the right package.

Hi,

Sorry for the noise. Sid update fixed issues. It must have been
totally unrelated.
