Package: debpool
Version: 0.5.1
Severity: normal

When debpool attempted to process a package I built in a lenny environment, it
complained thusly:

2009-03-05 09:29:03 [GENERAL/ERROR] Could not load deb file
/var/cache/debpool/pool/main/p/passenger/passenger-doc_2.0.6-1~riseup50+2_all.deb:

2009-03-05 09:29:03 [GENERAL/ERROR] Could not extract control file from deb
file
/var/cache/debpool/pool/main/p/passenger/passenger-doc_2.0.6-1~riseup50+2_all.deb
2009-03-05 09:29:03 [INSTALL/FATAL] Couldn't install package 'passenger':
Failed to generate .package file:

I was able to run 'ar x' on the deb file in question and there was a
typical control.tar.gz and inside there was a proper control file. I'm
a bit puzzled what caused this.

You filed the bug http://bugs.debian.org/518386 in Debian BTS
against the package debpool. I'm closing it at *unstable*, but it will
remain open for older distributions.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/585390. That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
