The current debian version of texpower loads its configuration file (curren=
tly
located in /etc/texmf/) with an absolute pathname. This has the very
unfortunate effect that the configuration cannot be tweaked by the end user
(providing an alternate configuration file is impossible). Besides, the site
wide configuration file is in the wrong place.
The following should be done to fix things:
- site-wide configuration files should be put in
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/config/
- loading them should be done by calling \InputIfFileExists{}{} with just t=
he
file basename, not the whole path.
If you're not convinced this is the Right Thing To Do (tm) even under Debia=
n,
look for example at graphicx or hyperref. That's the way they behave.
