Package: gadmin-bind
Version: 0.2.3-5

The path name for the bind configuration file 'named.conf' is not compatible to the way, Debian installs the bind 9 name server. Looking into the source code i found several places where <change-root>/etc/named.conf is hard coded - no chance to config. Debian bind9 stores the config in /etc/bind/named.conf.

Cheers!

Magnus says:

"[This is] semi-wrong in that theres any hardcoding other then
"/ProgramSettingsChrootPath/etc/". The entire path to
the chroot can be changed from the programs settings.

In version 0.2.4 i dealt with the startup of bind in chroot
by letting GAdmin-BIND add its own sysinit script that starts
named in the designated chroot environment.

They need to turn off the normal bind start script for this to work.

I figured that this solution was the best in terms of security
because lowering security seemed like a stupid move."

Daniel
