Package: xpdf-reader
Version: 3.01-7
Severity: normal

The PDF at http://www.cs.ru.nl/~bolke/T2/DictVs_1.1_2005.pdf (if that
URL has disappeared by the time you look at this, I can provide a
private copy) breaks some features of xpdf:

 - Mainly, "search" doesn't work. Read any word on any page, search
for it, xpdf doesn't find it.

   xpdf says:

Error: Couldn't find unicodeMap file for the 'EUC-JP' encoding

but the PDF doesn't contain any Japanese (or very little, and I
missed it; in any case, search for latin characters should still
   work).

 - Printing produces PostScript that is _very_ slow to print;
something like a minute per page.

fixed 367373 3.02-9
Hi,

Private previous communication serves no use now since group of new
people have took over this package.

I have checked with otherold bug report complaining search, and found it
does not exist in curren form.

Also

Error: Couldn't find unicodeMap file for the 'EUC-JP' encoding

seems to indicate, you are using some strange language which I may
speak. The asian language support has changed a lot and most of actions
are off-loaded to other newer better kept sources in poppler.

In light of this and missing PDF to check, i am closing this report.

Osamu
