there is an empty page on the current version of debian maint-guide,
english. this probably due to the
template formating, but i don't know how to fix it.

let's save a tree, guys :)

Hi,

Thank you for your bug report.

You had 2 bug reports with the same content. I take this one from

  User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.11)
       Gecko/20100805 Iceowl/1.0b1 Icedove/3.0.6 ThunderBrowse/3.3.1

I am closing the other.

I do not think you need to put squeeze here.

Although this is very vague, I know the situation.

Bug report should describe situation objectively. This helps everyone.

This bug report should have been:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
In the PDF format of maint-guide (both in 1.22-svn and all packaged ones
up to the latest 1.22), there is an empty page inserted if the
end-of-chapter is in odd number page (e.g. P14). Can you consider to
skip stop this behavior to save a tree?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

If the submitter use both-sided-printing, this page formatting is what
you want to ensure easy reading.

In order to change this behaviour, latex code generated from source by
debiandoc-sgml needs to be slightly modified. That require update of
debiandoc-sgml code maintained by me.

Unfortunately, I do not know latex enough to disable this nice even page
start rule for chapter. This means I can not update debiandoc-sgml.

This is wishlist bug which I need moreinfo. Unless someone bothers to
dig this information for me, this can not be fixed. I welcome such
effort.

I will spend more of my effort on converting this maint-guide to modern
DocBook XML format.

Regards,

Osamu

PS: Current breakage of web page build is separate issue. It looks like
backported po4a is needed. I will try to find some work around in the
mean time.
