Mdadm fails when attempting to add a drive to the array. I believe this is a
bug of which Neil Brown is aware and has fixed in code but not released. It is
a critical
bug for anyone running RAID 5 or RAID 6 who needs to grow their array, which is
in turn a critical function. It may not affect those running RAID 0 - 4.

* Add I/O rescheduling functionality to the checkarray script and make the
cronjob use the idle priority; this should now minimise the impact of the
monthly re-check on the running system; Florian Heigl had the idea
